Phew! It’s been a long time coming but I finally released my latest novel today. Extinction Point is the first book in a four-book series telling the story of Emily Baxter, the  survivor of a global extinction event.

Here’s the teaser:

Reporter Emily Baxter has a great job, an apartment in Manhattan, and a boyfriend she loves. All that changes the day the red rain falls from a cloudless sky. Just hours after the first reports from Europe, humanity is on the brink of extinction, wiped from the face of the earth in a few bloody moments, leaving Emily alone in an empty city. As she struggles to grasp the magnitude of her situation, Emily becomes the final witness to the end of our world… and the birth of a terrifying new one.

The world she knew and loved is dead and gone. Now Emily must try to find a way out of New York as the truth behind the red rain is revealed: the earth no longer belongs to humanity.

Loved ” Extinction Point” ! I have never been into syfy before but there was just something that drew me to this book. I was hooked from the start. I found that I could not put it down. The more I read the more I wanted to read. Can’t wait for ” Exodus” to come out. Paul Jones , you’ve made a syfy lover out of me!

Wow, that pretty much says it all. As an aspiring author myself I am always interested in what is on offer out in the big wide world and mostly it has been disappointing, always promising so much and failing to deliver. Extinction Point on the other hand was different and I was hooked after a few pages. The book was well written and made me feel like i was stood next to Emily the whole time. The alien angle surprised me somewhat, half expecting the living dead to pop up after the rain. To cut a long story short I eagerly await the next installment.

What an amazing book that’s all I say, I’m not really much into reading books in fact the only books I really read was from school and this one just happened to be free when I got my kindle, right from the first page it caught my attention. From the beginning to the end I didn’t want to put down my kindle at all, I read it all within 2 days that’s how much I liked it, I’ll recommend it to anyone I see, waiting for the next book, I can’t wait!!!

      Hi Tyler.

Reading is one of the greatest pleasures in life, and always worth finding time for, so I’m glad I was able to capture your attention with Emily and Thor’s story; there will plenty more action to come in the next couple of books. In the meantime, there are a bunch of really fantastic writers out there who are just looking for a reader like yourself to discover them. It is a great time to be a writer, but it is even better to be a reader.

      Go and have fun.
      :)

      Cheers.

Great reading, very suspenseful. I read a lot, have enjoyed reading since elementary school, and that was 60 years ago. I enjoy all type of literature as long as it keeps me engaged in the plot of the story. This one surely did. I am looking forward to the next installment. Good job. Thanks for a very enjoyable evening………Jerry
